Pacific Old Fashioned | Westland Cocktail

The Pacific Old Fashioned contrasts and complements Westland Flagship creamy custard and almond notes, with bright raspberry and vegetal green chilli. Washington state produces 60% of US fresh raspberries, and 95% of processed raspberries, and is a fruit that works well with a full bodied cocktail. A classic cocktail at its heart, the Pacific Old Fashion still gets to be adventurous but with perfect balance - not too spicy or fruity, just enough to pull out the flavours within the Whiskey. Pacific Old Fashioned
Ingredients
2 oz / 60ml Westland Flagship
½ oz / 15ml Stout Syrup*
1 dash Angostura Bitters

Method
Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass / tin and stir down with cubed ice until well chilled. Strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass. Flame orange coin over glass and discard, garnish

*Stout Syrup – Combine equal weights Stout and Sugar and stir together at room temperature until sugar dissolves. Bottle and store in the fridge for up to a week.
