Westland's Cask Exploration Series delves into the possibilities in cask finishing. Inspired by the robust winemaking tradition and rich history of craft brewing rooted in the Pacific Northwest, these expressions each reveal flavors honoring these traditions. Westland partners with regional acclaimed brewers and winemakers to create what could not be done alone, and the resulting cask-finished whiskeys show themselves as balanced and rich, with a smattering of fruit notes attributed to the casks used. 

Wine Cask Finish showcases the depths that Washington Wine casks can impart on the whiskey. This whiskey, recognized on Whisky Advocate's Top-20 Most Exciting Whiskies of the Year, features a combination of full term maturation and finishing in wine casks. Malbec, Syrah, and Tempranillo wines are represented and the rich dark fruit finish makes this a perfect pour in autumn. 

Beer Cask Finish was born out of Westland's long-standing relationship and collaboration with local brewers. Beer Cask Finish celebrates the Pacific Northwest's long tradition of craft brewing by integrating saison, stout, scotch ale, and doppelbock casks to uncover the depths of flavor from malts and various beer styles laced together. This whiskey shows itself as bright in profile, with tropical fruit notes and a slightly herbal finish.
