Westland's signature American Single Malt Whiskey is a culmination of over 10 years pioneering a new category of whiskey that has put America on the global single malt map. This latest expression represents the possibilities to be explored in single malt and captures the essence of our house style in one flagship bottle.

After a decade making single malt in Seattle and exploring the provenance of the Pacific Northwest, we once again look forward. In this new flagship whiskey we mine the vast array of incredible whiskey in our rackhouses to create a remarkable single malt that expresses the essence of Westland as a distillery and affirms the arrival of American Single Malt on the global stage.
BELGIAN BREWER’S YEAST
In contrast to most distiller’s yeast, our Belgian Brewer’s yeast is a noticeable and enjoyable departure that brings an array of fruity ester notes to the final whiskey.
PEATED MALT
We wouldn’t consider our flagship single malt a “peated whiskey” per se, but incorporating a small amount is a creative way to extend the finish.
5 MALT MASH BILL
Our signature mash bill featuring kilned and roasted malts showcases the wide spectrum of flavors that malted barley can bring to whiskey.
NEW AMERICAN OAK
Our use of virgin oak is typical of American whiskey making but practically unheard of in the Old World and leaves an undeniable mark on the final flavor.
SHERRY CASKS
While certainly not the defining characteristics of our flagship expression, a touch of rich sherry-matured whiskey helps to create a round and luscious mouthfeel.
