Reverie is a new series of releases that speaks again to our larger mission at Westland to explore new possibilities in single malt whiskey. In the conventional approach to making single malt, creativity in blending isn’t at all considered. Blenders in the Scotch tradition are instructed to focus on just that; tradition. But why should we always conform to conventions of the past? While most single malt whiskies are vatted to meet a pre-determined, stated intent, the Reverie series is intentionally loose in structure, freeing us to create anything we want in the blending process. Each release will be different, fully enjoying the liberty offered in the newly emerging landscape of American Single Malt Whiskey.
Reverie is meant to be experienced by each individual on their own terms. No tasting notes will be provided, just a reassurance of the deliciousness of the whiskey.
