Peat Week 2017 | Festival Bottling

Step right up and pour a dram. This year’s festival bottling offers everything you could never imagine. The marrying of five new oak casks with two ex-Bourbon casks makes seven in the vatting to create a spectacle to behold. Only 1,500 bottles available, wrapped in three unique commemorative dressings. Will you choose the demon of the bog, Phenostrus? The vixen of vapor, Mistress Miasma? The man of fire, Spinther? You are invited to wonder. To awe! To taste! And taste we will.

Flavor Profile Notes

A wisp of charred wood and a waft of roasted peanuts. The sweet and disarming allure of oak is quickly joined and upheld by a burst of peat smoke. Marvel as caramel and blackberry compote fall under the spell of the bitterest and darkest chocolate known to mankind. Admire the harmonious pairing of peated spirit and new oak, keeping each attribute perfectly at bay, leading to heavy smoke and a lifting sweetness.
