Cask #545

The current Cask #545 was the first cask filled after a run of heavily peated malt at our SoDo distillery. As a Single Cask Release it showcases the combination of subdued peat and fruitiness that create an intriguing complexity.


Flavor Profile Notes

On the nose notes of dried hibiscus, honey dew melon, cantaloupe, graham cracker, lemon peel, chocolate chip cookies, toasted whole wheat and butter cream frosting join the slight ash of the peat. With dilution ripe cherry, dried apricots and walnuts emerge. The palate delivers more character we'd expect from a peated malt with mossy peat, salt water taffy and finally wood-centric peat notes on the finish.
